Who is Ms. Denise?

I have worked many years as a teacher.  I received an Bachelor's Degree from Trinity College in Early and Elementary Education and a Master's of Education degree from the University of Vermont.  I worked in a private preschool, worked as a Parent Child Educator, and at a public elementary school as a kindergarten and Title 1 teacher.   

I also homeschooled my 3  children from their preschool years to high school.  This gives me an  unique understanding and perspective of being a teacher and  mother and juggling the relationship between the two.  I believe in hands-on, experiential learning, which offers open-ended opportunities to each child and their unique abilities and skills. Each child is different and therefore, their educational journey should be designed specifically for them and offer a learning atmosphere authentic to them and their interests.
